    We introduce you to HAZID, bowties and risk matrices. Using case studies we look at how to apply risk management methods within your buildings

  • Safety Case

    The safety case draws the information together to demonstrate all reasonable steps have been taken. We look at how to construct a safety argument and support it with appropriate evidence.

Emily Harbottle

Emily has been a trainer for many years and in diverse industries. She first taught at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, training cadets to take on the responsibility of leading their soldiers. Her next foray into instruction was at the Defence Helicopter Flying school where she trained as a Qualified Helicopter Instructor and undertook the hair-raising task of teaching ab-initio pilots how to safely fly a helicopter. Since leaving the military Emily has become a leading voice in Bowtie risk management, sharing her skills and experience across various sectors including Defence, Maritime, Civil aviation and health care. She is a Member of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM) and sits on the IMechE’s Safety and Reliability Group's ALARP working group.
